The Door
Unknown reader, be glad that I have opened the door and let out
the dust of my verse for you to see an age after the words first found form on the screen, or
perhaps I have let in your imagination so, turning, you can see a single almond
blossom, pink amongst its pale russet leaves, to tempt your words out
Unknown traveller, on this day, stay, venture out
and, before they fade,...

CONSTRUCTIVE
Four doors
Four colours
Pale pink
Sky blue
Mint green
Gold
All numbered
Wooden style vintage and old
Except for the Gold
This door.. it shines
It is fancy and new
Solid appearance
Modern endurance
Not bought in clearance
A very proud door one might add
Such beauty perfection
Gold lock protection
Pale Pink with cracks lacking symmetry...

Wood
hinges creaky
lock long rusty
paint a-peeling and vaguely musty
swinging days gone
these days shut fast
seems years since I last had a blast
footsteps on stairs,
sapling lingers
turns my knob with leafy fingers
I stay rigid
want her naughty
instead, sprays my key-hole with WD-40
sap linament
for ancient joints
soothing salve an oaken so...

The Cellars Of Your Heart
I stayed put, you moved on
With not a backward glance,
Its cold and dark down here
Hearing your merry dance
I'm in limbo now, forgotten
My spirit unable to restart
Trapped and left for dead
In the cellars of your heart
This place has other ghosts
Chains clanking like mine
Brooding sadly about how
You must be doing so fine
We're so near yet so far ...

Poetic voice says: “Hello”
Shiny eyes yearning look.
Asking happily “How are you?”
When did we met and where!
Few years ago, may be more
It was crowded party there
When she shines out of the door
We had a table, but no talk
Merrily smile, she looks shy
Asked timidly can we walk?
I shook hands, then walk...

DOORWAY
by, Melissa R. Mendelson
Racing ahead of hope,
fear meets me at the door
to hear the news
that I already know,
and an icy hand
holds my heart,
silencing the rapid beats
still breaking against my chest.
There were moments in time
tha...

Pale Membrane
Everything seeps in, everything leaks, in to this pale membrane.
The air from gestures, the pain and wicked eyes flicker.
The soft secretion of lingering sadness shelters like a veil.
Not haunted though, not lost to anything.
A door left open for a breeze to walk in.
