A Sinister View of the World
Left at birth,
My brain was set.
Apart from most,
I knew.
Awkward, clumsy,
Gauche indeed.
My shitty hand,
Met every need.
Defender, fending dextrous foes.
Creator, writing spider prose.
Feeder, cleaner, closest aide.
The very heart of how I'm made.
Condemned by tyrant teachers, who
Adored the neat and right.
Spurned, as of the reject few.
So, clearly not too bright.
But that which sparkles in this world.
Great art and mighty minds.
Creators of the finest things,
Are often left inclined.
Boring, dull, conformity
And small, neat, tidy brains.
Stick to what is right for them
And do not see our gains.
What once was just a hand preferred,
I now see, is much more.
A brain connected contrary,
To make the world less poor.

Oh yes, you wonderfully creative sinisters are in there with Leonardo Da Vinci and a myriad other powerhouse, innovative minds. I really like the development of the formal argument -- the premises lead, with great dignity despite documenting the thoughtless cruelty inflicted -- to a wonderfully affirmative conclusion. What a rich, moving, lilting, angry, uplifting poem. The quatrains march to your own magnificent drum beat.

Thank you Moxy.
I quite often write in quatrains. I am not sure why. It must suit my rhythms.
Us sinisters are deviant. Where might those quatrains be marching to?
Left, left, left, left.

Scientists have almost perfected the 'left-handed sugar' for human consumption after around 40 years of research. Interesting that so-called right handed sugars are the ones carbon-based life forms are adapted to digest, whereas the left-handed ones, whilst tasting almost the same, pass through the human gut without being affected by enzymes, so are calorie neutral. Your naturally occurring quatrains are obviously very nourishing for poetry-based life forms.

Of course, the coup de theatre de grace da vinci da clincher is the fact that we live in a left-handed universe, oh Quantum Malpoet.
