Christmas festivities
Hello Clarissa, we're just having a quiet time. I'm working (at home) and helping out on a community radio. How about you?

Hi Moxy,
Well I will have a full home, 3 teenagers 14,17,19, my Mother her date and my little sister and her husband, could be others that I have not been informed about.I get the one day off from work, its such a thrill to get up early and cook and clean for the masses.

Hi Clarissa, just my husband and me here over Christmas so extremely quiet. The community radio is anything we want to do, really. I'll be in the office answering the phone for phone-in competitions and doing office-style things but I have my own show a couple of times a week, hour long and comedy/music based -- very silly. Last night I pretended to interview Bjork. The shows are all very different and represent the interests of our community as much as we can.

Clarissa, your work sounds very demanding -- only one day off!

Sounds fun Moxy, when you do pretend interviews do you have to be different people or do you have help for the different voices?

I do the voices when it's a human -- I'm a bit of an impressionist! I did have a sound effect for a horse guest but I translated his horoscopes into English.

Oh dear -- I hope the people are more generous and call in with a festive spirit in their hearts. Demanding, then. There are some very strange people around -- astoundingly weird sometimes!

My horse did crazy horoscopes that got more and more outrageous as I read them. All he did was whinny in response. Then his friend cow (she ate 4 leafed clovers) called in.

what would you do if they were in a bad mood and called you up?
Mon, 24 Dec 2007 08:08 pm
Hahaha thats crazy Moxy, sounds like you needed a few chickens to cluck in!

Tell you what Moxy,If they call in a bad mood, act like you have to transfer the call, say hum... the crisis hotline, you could then pretend to be a therapist

The radio phonelines will only ring with people entering competitions or making a request for some music and a dedication -- not quite real life, I know! But I had thought I might prretend it was a tarot line -- your ideas would be fun to do, too, if anyone did ring with an inapprporiate attitude. I had Bjork laying eggs (as she did with her swan dress) so hen-ish!
Merry Christmas!

What wonderful slippers -- were they ruby ones, too? I had a beautiful notebook -- bronze, gold and black cover, creamy paper, and with a memo wallet on the inside back cover. Utter joy!
