Christmas Parlour Word Games

Following a recital of chamber music in the parlour by our first and unbetrothed daughter, we shall prosecute the eve of Christmas in the spirited amusement of word games.

Example 1

"Mine's Biggest"

Write a word vertically. At the side of it write the word invertically, like so

P M
o E
E O
M P

The game is to make words inbetween, beginning with the first and ending with the last letter, eg plum, originate, espresso, map.
The longest word for each letter earns a point.

Example 2.

"Don't Stop Now!"

Player 1 says a letter eg B. Player 2 adds another letter which must be capable of continuing a word but not completing it, eg L (with BLOT in mind). Player 3 continues adding U (with BLUR in mind). Payer 4 adds R, which makes a word and so is out.

What joy we have. When the game is complete, and being from a rather insular community the family then f*cks each other in heaps.

Any more suggested word games? (or anyone want to join the heap?).
