come along dear (STORY STREAM not poem)
hi poets, I wanted us to do some streams of our minds, have you tried it recently? just think of an image then just type the next thing that comes into your head. My psychiatrist does this game with me, she's good at it.
some say be ashamed of mental health, yea right.

COME ALONG DEAR - (a stream)
--------------------------------------------------
She has her hooks in him
But it nee dent feel so bad
After all the line between pain and pleasure
Is marked on the supermarket floor
Did you remember to get the beans dear?
Oh the greens dear
I need something to cook
I cannot abide that aldi muck
So here we
Are
Have you noticed my beak these days?
I spend regular amounts of time
In secret alters with secret ways
Of praying
So you don’t notice it
I do not enjoy tapioca as much as you do
You know how I joke with you
About frogspawn
Yet you yawn at that and recall school boy days
Of school dinners
Before gut busting people got fat not thinner
Yet you say they bullied you
Seems strange to me
Have you still got your grey shorts dear?
Did they fly button at the front dear?
Tease you did they
Pschyco killers were they
Future seeds locked ready
To flower
Tick tock time slow look at the hour
Of it all, here we are
Went fast did it not
When chatted me up did you get what you got?
Micro mini you little swot at school
They thrashed you
And behind bike shed smashed your
Confidence
Slap I know what she did
Tap into
Sub conscious I turn screws on you
I wonder if your English teacher did
I recall your telling once in your sleep
Ha , I’m into the neck and neap of you
The trick or treat of you
You’ll never know my true intention
The conveyor belt invention of the supermarket
Masks it with baskets
Wire a cage I have you
Ageing softly
Dressed up properly not
Woolly jumper fashion rot bullshit
And I know it
Ill dress you unattractive
Slap on the short s again ha
No not footie ones, humiliating ones from school
Ha blush you pathetic boy fool
You see boys bullied me revenge in the supermarket
Ha you have no idea
If so I could slap your legs like miss Davies did
I’m starting to see where the submission comes from
Though I never got off on that
I just did it for you
I mean am satisfied with vanilla ice cream
Yea sure some lavish stuff to
The odd strawberry insertion
Or some games with champagne
But all that pain stuff
Leave it to me dressed a different way
In tesco and safeway
As I peck you
And nature is cruel even in animal kingdom
Don’t be fooled those creatures are viscious
They even eat each other
Us we just push trollies around and smother ourselves
In the wanting for luxuries
Look love a new tv
Look dear listen to me
We cant afford it
Sex is free
As is eating tapioca stolen packets
Easy see
Why did you do that put it back
I was only joking poppet
Stop it
Not funny
Syrup is often runny
Why is that?
Well love you don’t mind it on your body
Such a messy game
Yea but it don’t turn you on though
Stiff bit gone lame, again
Hey don’t stab at the testicular jugular
Unfair
You want me to comment on your new hair do
Respect due to me to
Yea well mine aint fallin out
Huh that’s rude
Know get down the pet food aisle
Before I permanently chastise your smile
Or take your feet and root them into the plastic tiles
Aisles of choice
They blind us darling
Yes I know
Don’t think I forgot
About your little show back there
Just wait ‘til you get home laddie
Ill be in one of my pmt moods
Except worse
Yea well I may just stop stocking the purse
Ok
Stocking they are flocking when you flash the tops
Just close the curtain
And lose the crop tops
You are showing your boobs to all and sundry
Tesco likes to offer mucky laundry
Dressed up as fhm or nuts
On shelves stocked by robot elves at Christmas
Christmas
Oh fuck
Why you mentioned xmas
You know what it means
The end of holiday dreams
The start of kiddie schemes to brainwash us
With nike
Adidas
No class these days
Lowry wrote about sparking clogs
As disease run rife in city smog’s
The rose tinted spectacles off
But at least the sacking cloth they wore
Was affordable
Stop it dear it should be fun
All the sticking plaster junk food
Come and see
What I cut myself on a silver star
As Joseph and Mary ran far to far
On the back of history
Shooting
Wars religion
Oh no not religion
We really are in prison if we talk of that
Lets get to the front come along
The place were the mute shoppers belong
Self scanning morons
Come along dear

I understand what you mean. Its called Brainstorming or something similar. In the past when looking for a solution or an idea I would Brainstorm and it was always positive . Never gave it a thought since retiring that it could work when seeking inspiration in my writing.
Dictionary definition is c) A burst of inspiration.
Thanks Pete

Hi Val and Sophie
yes thats what I mean, if you just let feelings flood out all random, later, if required you can construct poetry from the raw emotion.
The thing with raw emotion is it is very potent and very believable.
as you said Val it can give you new ideas, directions.
and as I said many times on here, the review section is an 'unoficial' workshop to a degree, I think Darren W may agree on that.
in the case of this stream ('come along dear') we explore the situation of a hen pecked husband and the petty conversation that takes place in a supermarket. The relationship between the couple is uncovered and it is revelaed in snapshots some of the motives that drive them, but are rarely discussed as they work on a subconcious level. For example, the man feels under pressure to live up to finacial expectations and at the same time the woman is rightly liberated with her own choices, the dark undertones surface as we discover at school both parties suffered various levels of abuse, this is buried in later life only to surface as sarcasm, bitternes in many aspects of thier lifes including the sexual ones.
Once again my interest is in the psychology
Chris savage King wrote some things which inspired me.
this stream becomes MUCH clearer if you listen to the MP3 / audio of it.
