I was about to start a discussion and clicked to the 'Topic' section and the software somehow put up a list of various apparently random items that I had written about, not in connection with WOL.
THIS IS WORRYING!!!
Where and how did the WOL software pick up these items from my PC?
What else is it looking at?
How can the software do this?
This is not the only time I have noticed this. The other day I was trying to make a donation and the system pulled out an apparently random optional list of unconnected items including my email address AND THE PASSWORD, without my having attempted to enter it.
As it happens I have nothing that cannot be made public (although the password is worrying) but it is still a concern.
Thank providence that I don't do internet banking.
PS this is probably the wrong place for this - but I'd like to know if anyone else has seem similar occurrences.

Hey Alan, if I remember correctly, Ray Pool had to deal with a similar issue. You may try messaging him, or the WOL main team directly to try and get some answers.

Write Out Loud does not collect any information from your computer, only what you provide on the site.

This is most likely the browser collecting the information and then attempting to autocomplete boxes based on this. Please could you check your browser settings for any data collection / autocomplete options.
