DGPS 2nd August 2006

My first experience of performance poets. I'd seen a guest night a couple of weeks before - polished and okay. The Open night intrigued me. So many voices, performances but not much being said. I tried myself and found 'Sarah Someone Said' went well. I choked on my last poem but I learned a lot. The sound and the tone really does something to the reader. And the listener CAN be enthralled. Highly recommended to witness or take part. Wish they'd say more.
