Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells: Apology
If I start getting disgusted with everything and insulting people, the best thing to do is either to ignore me or tell me I'm doing it again. Or both.
I do have some genuine problems with a lot of "performance poetry" and I'm genuinely interested in the weird and outre world of the avant-garde but when I'm in that kind of mood, I'm not able to be in the least bit discerning or polite.
If you're interested to find out the limits of what I'm interested in, have a look at the Mid Pennine Art Gallery's Language + Science exhibition in Burnley, especially the works of Tony Trehy & Phil Davenport. That's what I call radical.

I don't think you have to be disgusted with yourself Steven, I think it is brave of you to respond to the many criticism's and stand by your views, I think it is just the way it was done that people objected too.
Of course it is up to Phil to accept your apology not me, but I am glad you have decided to think about how your harshness can be hurtful.
But we are all human, except Peter who has been outed as an alien on this thread, we all make mistakes say unkind things and make bad jokes from time to time. Life is a learning process.

RESPECT
It took real courage to respond as you have.
I realise that not everyone will enjoy or like my work and would welcome balanced feedback from any poet.
I am off for a week so if you want to discuss see you then.

Steve, not sure if you would be interested but I'm a professional hypnotherapist and may be able to help you with the hand and foot pains-- pain control is something I've specialized in. If you're interested, email me -- my address is on this site in the poets' gallery. I can probably help you over a coffee.

Just an update - have since got over the rather unfortunate negativity spell I was going through. When I go through that, I actually find some poetry almost painful to read - especially when the rhythms are too obvious - it's like nails down a blackboard.
But I'm over it now, and have even finally got round to putting a profile up on the site.

"You can't fool me Steven, you've had a lobotomy!"
"You can take the bandages off now, doctor."
"What do you mean you've already taken the bandages off?"

'Odds splutter hus nails,' as the giant said, 'he has heard the bogles striving under hus bed.' Welcome!

Hello Mr Waling
from here it's plain sailing, so
we welcome your time
to tolerate us
and our rhyme.
But no rhythm.
Not yet.
Anyway?
By coincidence, i was a guest at a dinner party held inside that infamous red pillar box on that fateful day.
I enjoy the challenge that your writing presents...

How dare you! Mingling with the consonants while I was standing with the vowels and the pretentious punctuation.Ooh, and that ever so boring ellipsis...
