DYLAN'S WORST VERSE
My fellow Open Miker and all-round good egg, Tim Ellis, posted an invitation on FaceBook following the canonisation of his Bobness for bloggers to suggest the great man's turnips.
One of my favourites is from "Positively 4th Street".
"No I do not feel that good when I see the heartbreaks you embrace
If I was a master thief perhaps I'd rob them"
brutally contrived to rhyme with
"Don't you understand that's not my problem?"
What makes you cringe?

Thanks John, this gives me a chance to nominate another piece of Bobbledegook. From Desolation Row:
Here comes the blind commissioner, they've got him in a trance
One hand is tied to the tight-rope walker, the other is in his pants

Actually, Desolation Row is one of my favourites; you just need to understand that it's a painting, like A ironimus Botch. The only bit that makes any sense to me at all is the last verse "about the time that the doorknob broke". But still well worth looking at the painting.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle in your boots and shoes
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, you got nothing to lose
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, like a swarm of bees
Wiggle on your hands and knees
WTF????
I'm sure the above didn't add a great deal to the great American lexicon
