I fell hard and fast leaving only the footprints of the laughter of the once elated and favor seeking masses.
Shame and guilt were obvious but the feeling of grateful satisfaction was encompassing.
Was I a fraud? A charleton? After losing everything, Even my Mind, the answer was obvious .
Fuck No. The frauds are the n'do wells. The judgment seekers. The same people who take moral stands against pedophiles and heroin dealers ad if that makes them appear morally superior.
The people who stand against cancer, believing that gives then a higher power that allows their selfish lives to prosper.
I stand against communal innuendo, Consumer superiority and forgotten empathy.
I stand first and foremost against my inner self hatred and failure to rreach out from my past mistakes and shine incondescently and vibrantly once again.
For that There Is No Excuse

I have been awakened by your full frontal assault on my past indiscretions. It's like a child being as angered by her bottle taken yesterday. I am not that person you loathe. His arrogance died with the shrapnel of my professional devastation I so loudly embracesd. You are the instigator. The sexual advenutter seeking a daily trip upon Mount Everest erection. It's an excitement and a self loathing one can use to wipe away the dusty Wednesdays we s sshuttle through in life's periodic ritual of self sufficient obligarions.
I DON'T judge, I've attempted that climb myself until Therapeutic injections calmed my forever dulled soul. You shout at the specificity of my unfounded delusions. I laugh at your over exaggerated cried for control. For I know, I am your true love. We are meant to be.

I sleep with an awakened stare. My dreams illustrate past egotistical conquests. My soul hurts for the touch of her forgotten eembrace. I want to be saved like s Southern Baptist at the river of my day dreamed salvation. But my past is never asleep. It aches and cries out for life when I can only escape through chocolate libations. My shirt gets tighter as my moral compass imparts decisions I never knew possible. I'm becoming righteous. But the cost is independent indignation and a once proud smile. The type of smile that made her sa yes, yes, yes.

Hi HT, and welcome to WOL
I thought I should just mention that this section of the site is for discussions on various themes, rather than to post your writings.
I would have sent you a private message but you don't appear to have a profile. It's very easy to set up a profile, but if you have any problems, please let me know.
You can then post poems on the blog section of the site. We do focus on poetry here, though, rather than articles, essays, or flash fiction.
Posting work on the blog section means that many more people will see it too.
Best,
Laura

:) There's tons of sites out there, are you a member of any at the moment?
Here's a great site updated every month with new listings. It's not a forum, but there's loads of competitions and publishing call outs - it would be worth your while submitting to a few.
