I have come here hoping to find someone else who is familiar with this guys wonderful and colourful voice. Anyone? A Favourite poem. I personally love 'Bomb', 'Marriage' and 'Seaspin'.

Have a much thumbed copy of Penguin Modern Poets 5 featuring Corso, Ginsberg and Ferlinghetti, first published 1963, bought my copy in 1970 and often trotted out on those enjoyable but infrequent "read somebody else's poem" nights. I remember in the good old days when I was insufferably idealistic (hard to imagine now- still insufferable though) when you could get away with introducing literature to a captive student audience of hairdressers or caterers, forcing Marriage down their unwilling throats
" Should I get married? Should I be good?
Astound the girl next door
with my velvet suit and faustus hood". etc
Nice to be prompted to open it again, thanks Richard.

I'm rather fond of "the Mad Yak," myself.
