Hebden Bridge WOL April
It was a great night of poetry in the Hole in't Wall, Hebden Bridge last night. A good turn out of familiar faces, but also some poets new to the night and some who were more than happy to simply spectate and soak up the atmosphere. Also it was a night of introductions in person as both Greg and Chris attended the Hebden night for the first time. Splendid!
May I make a special mention of the 5 unique raffle prizes which occupied the top table during the nights proceedings. Many an envious eye scanned these offerings in a raffle, the like of which has never been seen at a WOL event.

Thanks, Win, for making us newcomers feel so welcome on a night of warmth, humour, fine poetry and masterly compering. It was great to meet everyone, and particularly WOL poets such as your good self, Chris, John, Freda and Cayn in person. My only minor disappointment was not winning one of the spectacular raffle prizes on offer ... I have now returned south after my foray into Lancashire (I also had a drink at another WOL venue, the Old Boar's Head in Middleton), Yorkshire and Derbyshire - but I'll be back some day.
