Interview with a Dust Bunny
Definition: the soft fluffy dust that accumulates in undulate clumps, similar in appearance to the broad rump and tapering front of a rabbit.
DUST BUNNY MIGUEL ICONNERY: 'It's open season all year round, really.I lost five of my closest warren buddies under the bed thanks to a nozzle with bristles vacuum fixture. Everyone's got it in for us, except for you poets and you students. Students don't bother with us -- laisez faire. Poets don't seem to notice us. We can scuttle about foraging quite boldly and you poets never raise your eyes from your books or bitters -- maybe a quick glance at the cat litter and the ceiling, okay, and the belly. Meanwhile we are being born from your solar plexus, out we pop from your navels, newborn and into the world. So, anyway, I have written a poem to thank you for allowing us to share this earth with you oh mummydaddy.
Ahem.
Dust Bunny glides on Dust Bunny fur
Poets and students are the apes we prefer
I sing of your grace, oh apes without slur
I waltz in the eddies you frequently stir
