Is artistic freedom now under threat?
I think that State and Religion are separate entities. Any given comment about the one does not automatically apply to the other. That is intellectual nonsense.
Semitism is a wide concept, very challenging in its historical roots. We need our highly-educated Christian leaders to do more 'teaching of related history' from their pulpits, and not just expressing their controversial knowledge in tomes of commentaries hardly ever accessed by the general population, university graduates included.
I Know Almost Nothing - just enough to realise that many of us talk glibly Without Knowing Anything, especially the 'graduate class' in positions of considerable popular influence.
I trust these comments do not overstep 'artistic freedom'.

Not only artistic freedom, but freedom has been under threat since 9/11. think of all the surveillance laws that have been brought in. Most recently the Fake News meme rolled out by the MSM. Insidious stuff.
