Good evening - I am the Landlady of The Station Hotel in Ashton-Under-Lyne. I am a little confused as you have listed our monthly Spoken Passions event as being tonight and a gentleman has travelled a distance to attend - but our event is on the last Sunday each month and so is actually NEXT Sunday - not tonight.

Being honest I had not heard of this group before, so I know I haven't submitted the event and just wondered if we could clarify who did as this has obviously inconvenienced this poor lad considerably.

first of all, thanks for letting us know about this. We are, obviously, really sorry to hear of the inconvenience caused, both to yourself and the gentleman who travelled in.

All the events listed on our gig guide are submitted by someone involved in the night (we don't have the personnel or the time to seek them out), so our assumption would be that the person whose mobile number is given as the 'contact' on the listing did so. We texted this number on September 28th, as part of our current drive to ensure our gig guide is up to date, specifically mentioning the 22nd October listing, and asking them to check the details were correct. They haven't got back to us yet.
