Middleton 22nd November
There were 20 poets and audience members yesterday and the brilliant Nat Clare as compere.
Rachel Bond (the flashing virgin!) and Chris Co made their fantastic debuts.
Feedback recieved was:
Good Points: poems, supportive, cake and atmosphere, poems, welcome, spooky pub, bad weather, content, cool, the compering was superb, glad I won the wine, great night, excellent atmosphere.
Areas For Improvement: where is the flapjack?, seating?, light the fire, none needed, people who laugh at their own jokes (that'll be the corpse-discussing, corpsing Mr Glennon I assume), people who keep changing names (Allan? Me?!), none needed.
I will ask as to wether the fire can be lit or not but I think it might just be for show nowadays and next time I will bring flap jack. As for seating, that remains a hot issue apparently, is it better to sit in a circle or at tables?
