Middleton 27th June 2010

There were 17 poets and audience members last night, including the very new, very talented Anna Percy. I'm sure that you will agree that we want to see/ hear more from her!

Feedback recieved on the night:

Good Bits: excellent poets, good atmosphere, good night out, very welcoming, brilliant guest slot performance, all of it, Gemma's biccys, craic and G's biscuits, biscuits, beer, bards, can see everyone, variety, great atmosphere, biscuits and chilled atmosphere, good range of styles.

Areas For Improvement: bit hot need a fan, use PA next time, make the guest slot longer, stop smug gits patronising people, more prizes, use PA, PA, need the PA back - our mistake!

I can promise that the PA will be back next time and we can revert to tables in front of a 'stage' area if everyone so wishes. I will do my best to make those biscuits again but I went a bit off recipe this time! As for 'smug gits', hmmm, maybe we can discuss this below.....

....until next time Middleton....

Hi Gemma;

Lot of bits of interesting feedback there, gemma - not going to go into smug g*ts bit (I hope I wasn't regarded one of them - lol) but it was a nice night.... I thought Rob did good on his headline slot although he looked red hot by the end off it but it was very very warm in there last night.

i can understand people not wanting to use the P.A. system but certainly after the background noise in the first half where if i am honest, i did struggle to caught what the odd poet said, in future i think it's worth considering to use the P.A.

Anna was very talented... I've seen her at W.O.L. Sale a few occasions and lots of other places more Centre of Manchester based.

Keep it coming!!
