Middleton 28/9/08
Thanks to all for another wonderful night at The Olde Boar's Head!
There was the usual mix of different poetry, different styles, genres and topics. One minute we were rolling in the aisles, the next we had tears rolling down our cheeks.
In the feedback book, we didn't get any negative comments at all! The positive comments were: different areas of poems, good fun, drumming, great x 2 and Gemma (hehe! Ta Pete)!
Finally, I hope you all enjoyed the special WOL cakes and that I will see you all again next month.

Well done on the compering Gemma. (Funny American spell checkers don't recognise that word, or that one)
Yes a very good evening and nice to se that a few people hung around for a while afterwards in a nice sociable spirit.
Something else unusual about the night was the group of lads (ie. younger than me and therefore much younger than Gemma's dad) who drifted in from the bar and stayed to listen, applauding and enjoying the show. Even afterwards outside they were coming along and thanking us for the show and asking when we were on again.
So there we are; WOL in Middleton, and Gemma O'Neill, reaching the drinkers other poets can't reach. Brilliant.
