Olde Boars Head Middleton January 27th

Another great night in Middleton! We had three new poets this week which was a real treat. Alice Campbell made us all think (and Paul nearly storm Rochdale town hall!) with her social commentary and another poem about how we all need to think first and not resort to doing first then saying 'I didn't think' afterwards. Hilary Murray (who I know from Bolton Uni), peformed three incredibly entertaining poems. I particularly enjoyed the first one which was accompanied by a beat which sped up and slowed down in time to the changing moods within the poem. Emmanuel Bajiiji performed two poems, including a fantastically beautiful piece that he composed on the night, amazing! I wish I could write so well, so quickly! The whole night was incedibly entertaining as usual, well done everyone! :)

It was brilliant - again. Great compering Paul, great raffle ticket selling, Gemma. And superb poetry from all. A great welcome to newcomer Emmanuel.

A few photos are up in the gallery. More to follow.
