Well Sophie, this is already certainly a poem. Sure it could develop, but it already has an excellent flow and some very fine imagery as well as conveying a powerful message.

You and I would have a different take on the creativity of humankind and its consequences, but I am delighted to see the development of such a delightful piece of personal philosophy in beautiful language.

Didactic poetry seems to be rather out of favour, but I like it and I think this is a good example.
