Open the Door
This is my first post on this site. I'm lookong for reviews, and will give them when I can.
Open the Door
The door
Moved
Slowly
Imponderably until I could see beyond
Go, and open the door,
Do you see what stands there?
What did you expect?
And behind that door
Will be another,
And another and another
And every door you find
You'll have to open for yourself.
There are no doormen here.
Sometimes behind a door
There will be a treasure,
Most often there will not,
Behind some doors
You'll find a monster,
Though you might not see it at first.
Many doors will be locked.
Break them down or use a key
That you found along your way.
Sometimes too
There'll be two doors not one
And often there will be more
Each door you open
Will close behind you,
And if you open it again
The door behind it
May not be the one
That was there before.
Go on, open the door.
Go, and open the door,
Do you see what stands there?
What did you expect?
And behind that door
Will be another,
And another and another
And every door you find
You'll have to open for yourself.
There are no doormen here.

You might not see them at first,
Hiding behind the open door.
