Poetry competition / payment
can anyone inform me please, that payment for entering a poem in the competition is via the 'donate' link on the webpage,
also, when uploading a file with a single poem on (or typing it into the text box within the entry form) do we ensure our name does not appear anywhere on the poem i.e. are we submitting 'anonymously' as is customary with most poetry competitions/ may thanks

You have the option to select a card, or to pay via PayPal once you hit the donate link I believe.
If you submit a poem, it also gives you the option to put your real name and then any pseudonyms you may be using right when you are typing it up - so no, your name does not need to be INSIDE the poem somewhere, as long as it is on the proper places when submitting.
I hope this helps.

thank you so much for responding, that is very helpful
what I am wondering though, is -
is it a 'requirement' for poems to be submitted (e.g. on the A4 page-uploaded file or within the text box
i.e. what is the 'rule' just saying, because most poetry competitions it is a rule that people do not put their names, because it is judged anonymously. in this case, it seems, some may put their name, and some won't ?
but thanks, because I have decided to submit, as say, with my name on the entry form but not within the poem.

I hate hate these rules ? why are we allowing ourselves to follow rules as Poets. What happened to poets being the rule breakers ? This is crazy crazy ? I cannot believe this stuff on A4 and names here or there ? Is it me. Am I just stupid and poetry is ruled based Art form only ?

Hey and then someone smart and for the right reasons sets up an amazing thing like WOL and guess what the rule makers appear and start some competition with rules. I have tried hard not to swear x

Yep it's all trite to be honest. Poets have to work twice as hard as musicians or others that write to get somewhere successful in their path.
I've had my blogs deleted for advertising my books, but have seen others get away with the same exact offense. To be honest, WOL favors favoritism and the pretentious in thought and practice.
Poetry does all the same, but at least without the rules there, poetry doesn't aim to be something bigger than it is. I truly hate when a pretentious writer likes to pretend that they have a monopoly on a certain style or way to write. Again, just political correctness dressed in a different frock.
I only write free form unless I'm bored, in which case I take it upon myself to write a structured piece of garbage and call it art.? No - but I really do hate structure and rules in poetry as well.
