Prince of The Night
Prince of the Night
Oh how I know that you’re there.
See your blade’s glint catch moon’s light.
Just please give me time to prepare.
I feel your stale breath in my hair.
You touch me, but stay out of sight.
Oh how I know that you’re there.
Soon enough I’ll see you, but where
And when will I feel your cold bite?
Just please give me time to prepare.
I wish that I wasn’t aware
For your shadow turns me uptight.
Oh how I know that you’re there.
When the time comes will you spare
A moment, don’t take me outright.
Just please give me time to prepare.
For today I stand in your glare,
Watched by The Prince of the Night.
Oh how I know that you’re there.
Just please give me time to prepare.
Oh how I know that you’re there.

Just please give me time to prepare.

It's beautiful, Darren. I didn't, at the time of writing previous comment (removed), realise its significance for you; for us all.

Just thought I'd resurrect this one in light of my dad's recent passing.
This was written when we were told by dad's doctors that his cancer was terminal.
I never let my dad see or hear this one.
