Priorities:

Here is my 1st attempt at a cinqain. It is a real challenge for me as I do have a habit of saying in 50 words what can be said in 5. So here goes:

Priorities.

Car wreck,
Metal twisted,
Passenger, broken neck.
Unfinished text on blood stained ‘phone.
Impact.

You got it right, Sophie.

In my mind when I wrote this it was the driver who had the wrong priorities, leading to the nasty (possibly fatal even) injury sustained by his/her passenger.

One of the things I love about poetry, however, is how different people have different interpretations on it.

Thanks for your feedback. I will keep trying new things.
