Saturday 23rd June 2007
.................Saturday, June 23rd 2007.............
has NO poetry event!
Ugh? the entire country has spat out the sweet dummy of poetry?
Oh dear.
In this case I propose a mass YOUTUBE reading.
we must all post our recorded poems on YOUTUBE
I will now go and create a youtube account called
writeoutloud
watch the space later......and of course on Saturday night
get your recording items ready to record and upload.
It's easy if you have a mobile
just put it on video and point at yer mug and record
or.........for the more discrete poet
just use the voice record facility and upload sound only
we dont mind
a Saturday night with no live poetry
nooooo

I suppose I could upload one of the radio sessions I did but it'll take ages to upload :(
A Saturday without poetry is a very scary thought indeed!
I'll have to recite some when bowling ha ha!

Poems? Today?
Here Be One
There was a young spoon from Berlin
Whose primary function was sin
It measured out doses
Of primal neuroses
With a perfectly vacuous grin.
I thank you.

Tha ain't a poem it's a limbertrick.
There is a fine poet called Moxy
Who's tricksy without orthodoxy
She riddles her words
Entrancing us nerds
That Moxy is mightily foxy.

I am more pixy than trixy
I sonnet away till I'm sicksy
My innermost being
Just isn't worth seeing
My broadsides deserve a big kicksy

So how did everyone cope on Saturday then?
And should we have a name for it now? 'Dark Saturday' or something?
