This is shocking and I'll be honest, it doesn't sit comfortably with me at all.
It is clever in that it has a real double feeling to it .... The warm loving feeling of the word "darling" to the harsh cold abrupt jolt of the word "rape".
It could have been said by almost anyone to ayone and when you think about it more deeply it may not be as shocking in different contexts.
If said by rapist to victim ........ Horrible, absolutely horrible.
It could be said by police officer to the victim (but not so unprofessionally). For example the officer may say with empathy .... "Is this the only time this has happened to you?" .... In effect they are saying exactly the same thing but in a less sinister way.
It could be said by spouse to partner (partner is a professional in the field of rape, maybe a police officer, a doctor/nurse examining a rape victim to gather evidence and take swabs) .... Said in that context it is not sinister at all ..... quite the opposite, it is comforting and supportive.
It could be one sarcastic cop talking to another who is dealing with a rape for the first time. Typical cop humour. Crass a bit crude, but not sinister.
The more I think about this, the more clever I think the "poem" actually is. Very Avant Garde and actually very clever.
I still don't like it, 'though. I am just too uncomfortable with it.

Ah .... I see it now.
This was a clever ruse by Scott to re-start a discussion that had already had closure.
