Most enjoyable evening comprising of a poetic only audience.
Nat Clare wowed us
Paul Blackburn bowed to us
Steve Regan Daleked aloud us
Gordon Zolar aroused us in Zolar space.
Frankie compered aroumous
and I drunk alarmingly

I enjoyed this event very much. It's only my second visit to the Tudor but I have to say the atmosphere there is special. It's both bohemian and rollicking good fun - and also thought-provoking.
Pete Crompton is - in my view, and the view of many others - an absolute star.
At last week's Arty Types night he kindly agreed to perform with me on my double-headed Dalek-and-human-girlfriend routine... and wowed everyone, even out-ranting my impression of a frustrated Dalek. Pete's interpretation of the piece was very different to those previously rendered at Birkenhead and New Brighton poetry nights by Malpoet and Dr Gyggle respectively ... and they were brilliant too!
It was a great night. Well done John Togher, organiser, musician and poet. Well done all who took part.
And, at the risk of repeating myself, top marks to Pete Crompton. His 'Dreams of Leaving' (about being sectioned in a mental health hospital, as I understood it) was passionate eloquent, funny and very, very moving.

it would be indelicate of me to comment on the amount of alcohol consumed ,however i am sure the landlord remains committed to his support of this event :)
