The Thirsty Scholar - Acoustic and Poetry Eve
The musicians from 'Victorian Dad' treated us to a most splendid acoustic set both individually and as a band. Fantastic energetic performances with moments of the virtuoso.
Gordon Z was on hand to supply our comic relief in the form of 'awful folk song' (one you take home and sing on the train)
and 'control alt delete' the technophobic sing along.
Many many thanks to Paul Blackburn and Dave Morgan and Scott Devon for turning up and supporting me and Gus in our sets. I am very sorry that I had to leave for the 22.38 train.
Gus I'm sorry that I missed your set but thank you for the invite.
The audience was mainly the performers but that did not take away the fun, I really enjoyed trying out the 'ant powder' poem. I enjoyed reading it and I think it may become a classic. This poem also uses some props watch out in the future! (maybe Tudor house :-) )
I would like to say that the guitarists I saw were truly skilled.
They had a style of play that had me transfixed.
