WHERE DO YOU WRITE?
Besides, what I want to know is where people find they can best write. For instance, most of my masterpieces are written in cafes or on the toilet. I don't seem to be able to conjure anything up in our parlour; even less so on the computer. I

Firstly JC do you take a pen and paper into the toilet with you?
Secondly, Bob Dylan allegedly wrote Mr Tambourine Man on a café napkin so no bad thing there!
I have a nicely woven covered moleskin notebook that goes everywhere with me (yes, sometimes into the toilet too) and the slightest idea gets written down. Sometimes just a word!
It then gets transferred to one of ten "draft" files to be worked over and over, to eventually see the light of day on WOL or my blog.
There you have it, anyone else for tennis.

I'd caution against working drafts "over and over", Graham. We haven't got long to go.

Hi John,
I write most of my great works while commuting. I use my mobile's notepad document. As I make so many revisions and changes I find it's an easier way to edit than pen and paper. Also, this way, fewer trees are murdered for my silly scribbles.
I tend to listen to music on headphones as it helps me write. Sometimes sounds/music trigger images that in turn trigger ideas for poems.
I have also written some fabulous poems while dreaming, only to wake up and forget them. Thank goodness they are all works of genius..?

The most high I have ever been when I've written, Max, was at 30,000 feet on a Ryan air flight back from Majorca.
