this is THE TAVERN on Mesnes st Wigan, 5 mins from the Wallgate Station (take a left walk up the hill, down and take a first left)

John T s Poems and Artwork were fantastic, intelligent, surreal, he made all acts welcome. John put us at ease and helped the Write Out Loud poets with running times etc.


Superb Musical Acts, Gordon Z, Sandre C and Johhny C on top form!

The crowd was a mix of bohemian loons, local drunks (WOL) and poets, artists alike.

Drink prices super doubles at £2.20p

I really enjoyed this and though it an EXCELLENT venue.
Would love to see a regular monthly night here of bands / art / projedtions /interspersed with poets.

sounds like I missed a good night. Well done to you all - I learnt today that public speaking is American's number 1 fear, they're 7th is dying!
