Bristol's longest running independent Open Mic runs alternate Mondays @ Halo Cafe Bar. Run by performers and writers on a shoestring budget but hosting poetry and music both local and international with a good PA and MP3 recording. The place to be heard! What we do

Over the last 7 years we have hosted International guest poets Andrea Gibson,Buddy Wakefield,Katie Wirsing,Jive Poetic,Mahogany Brown,Thom the World Poet all from the USA, Brendan McLeod,Cat Kidd,Mark Berube,Shane Koyczan, The Fugitives all from Canada. Andreatta Chuma from Botswana. The Poetry Chicks from Derry, The Bedouin Jerry Can Band from Egypt, many UK poets and musicians and over 2,500 open Mic-ers have stood on the red carpet @ Halo Cafe Bar. Worth the journey!
