I still remember the very first day When you my boy, you became my sun rays Memories that for sure - can’t be taken away I still see them so clearly Baby boy they’ll never fade Born with not a mark on your face You’ll forever be my saving grace Don’t ever think for one moment mummy doesn’t love you It’s because the love I have for you is so strong, I have to take this time to fix everything that has gone so terribly wrong I know you can be strong You’ve always been my little King Kong Hearing you cry on the phone, kills me right down to the bone To think this next year, will be the first ever I’ll miss out on seeing you hit milestones I’m the only one who has really seen how much you have grown You’ll only ever be my main king For what you have been through You really should be sat on a thrown I can’t erase the past, but for sure I’m going to try my hardest to make sure our future is a good one and that it lasts I’ve raised you to know you have to speak out my boy and now this is a time you have to let that show When I last looked into your eyes, I really didn’t want to say goodbye I can still see and feel how your head hit my chest But I promise you for now, this really is for the best Mummy needs a good rest So I can fight through the next year of all these dumb tests The pain in my heart is still so raw and sharp I’m so proud to call you my son I’m gripping hold of the memories where we used to laugh and have fun I need you to smile That’s gunna help me get through some of my toughest walked miles Keep working hard at school and be good for your dad because I really don’t like the thought of you being so sad. You’ll always be my little Bubba
