The truest of thoughts live in the darkest of nights The mind is an inhospitable shelter Darker even that the night it sings to So that the thoughts that are so true Cannot see themselves for what they are And thus are not afraid to tear each other apart For when the morning comes They are timid and remorseful in the light Forced to come face to face With the damage they have done.
