It’s easier than breathing to love you, you put your fingers on my soul, you make my mind quiet and my heart loud. You were candlelight and I was the moth I hope you find whatever you’re looking for But you get as good as you give, And your mind is yesterday and tomorrow Two things you can never take back, everything you do and everything you say It’s a time when the past is clearer than the present And time has a way of running through our fingers Sometimes any word is a word too many Though we can’t use the truth to injure since you’ve been saved and salvation cannot be taken from you No amount of words can turn back time For the future only lasts as long as it’s there You put your fingers on my soul, And breathing still ain’t easy there will be someone, else she won't be you The candlelight is still there But you’re some place I cannot reach
