Biography
I've been a poetry lover for many years and just started going along to Write Out Loud in Bolton. In 2007 I became WOL's treasurer and I now co-run the Bolton event with Val Cook. I also organised all the travel and hotel bookings for the very successful WOL trip to Bordeaux in 2007. I am still waiting for my first poem to emerge. However, on the Bordeaux 2007 trip, I did have the cheek to read in french to the predominantly French audience a couple of poems by Jacques Prévert, one of France's national poets. Coals to Newcastle indeed!

Hello and nice to meet you John - don't be shy! I have only been a member of WOL for about five minutes and have become totally hooked, and can't seem to stop "blogging"! The first one I put up, I felt all embarrassed, but it's so exciting. And in a couple of hours there are about another three million poems added, so you can hope (or feel very very sad!) to think that your/my poem has been long forgotten! Yesterdays virtual fish and chip paper! But if anyone stumbles upon it, they may well enjoy it. Go there!
John, time to put us out of our misery and give us a poem.
