Biography

Poet and novelist J.S.Watts was born in London and now lives and writes in East Anglia. In between, she read English at Somerville College, Oxford and spent many years working in the education sector. Her poetry, short stories and non-fiction appear in a variety of publications in Britain, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the States including Acumen, Envoi, Mslexia and Orbis and have been broadcast on BBC and independent radio. J.S.'s poetry collections, "Cats and Other Myths", "Years Ago You Coloured Me" and "Underword", are published by Lapwing Publications, along with her multi-award nominated poetry pamphlet, "Songs of Steelyard Sue". Her pamphlet, "The Submerged Sea", is published by Dempsey & Windle. Her novels, "A Darker Moon"- dark, literary fantasy, "Witchlight" "Old Light" and "Elderlight" - paranormal urban fantasy with a hint of romance, are published in the UK and the US by Vagabondage Press. She has performed at many venues across England including Cambridge, Cleethrorpes, London, Oxford, Oundle Fringe Festival and Rhythm of The Worlds Festival, and also at the Edinburgh Fringe, which isn't in England at all.
