Biography
My name is Kay Channon. I am Poet who sometimes performs and writes theatre. I am currently engaged in a PhD at the University of Chichester. I have a lot of experience related to chronic illness and disability, largely because the universe decided I was to be born earlier than the calendar predicted. But also due to an inherent need to ask questions and help others. My poetry often expresses a part of me which remains silent in everyday life. I’ve had one poetry collection published by Bardic Media in 2017, The Dark Side of Light, which is available through Amazon. I have done a lot of writing since 2017, including starting a blog for Disability Arts Online. I am a reader of philosophy and persistent night owl. Over the past 6 months, I have gained more confidence performing my work to due many poetry groups starting online meetings. I hope that more people will get to see, hear, and enjoy my words within this space.
