This is a poem about Sylvia Plath that was written in 1996 and I have recently re-edited. Fitzroy Road A cold November morning. Not as cold as that last day. Did you really give in the unequal fight or just lose a dangerous game? I look at the blue plaque to Yates, the one that brought you to here. No memorial to you, only your words reaching through the years. I don’t pretend to understand you. I am part of the circus with the rest of the fools. You seemed to want to be a rebel, while sticking to the rules. In death you became more powerful than you ever were in life. Perfected? ©1996-2013 Kevin J Rickis
