Biography
Now 33, I have written since I was a teenager. I won a competition as a youth for one of my first poems, 'Teardrop' which was published in a Scottish Young Writer of the year book. I remember my class being given homework to try and write a poem for the competition. I went home, I remember sitting at the breakfast bar whilst my mum was drying her hair and putting ideas down on paper and creating 'Teardrop', I found it so easy and calming. Ever since I have lost myself in words, the places I visit, the songs I listen to and emotions I experience all inspire me.
Samples
'Isle of Arran' Peaks and troughs, fords and rivers, forest's and sands, rouged rocks and stone. A floating paradise in the middle of the sea, the Firth of Clyde to be precise. Peace, tranquillity, happiness, nothing more and nothing less. The changing of the tides, the sunset, the smell of freedom in our minds and souls. Memories past and ones just made, there will be more, Arran, so much to explore to experience, a breath of fresh air in my heart.
