I thought you were my friend, So I never thought it'd be this way. I thought you were my friend, So I was shocked and didn't know what to say. I thought you were my friend, Then you went and stabbed me in my back. I thought you were my friend, So I didn't know how to react. I thought you were my friend, But you went and hurt me anyway. I thought you were my friend, Until you changed my mind one day. I thought you were my friend, Who is supposed to help me when I'm down. I thought you were my friend, So I didn't think you would be the one to make me frown. I thought you were my friend, Thought on you I could depend. I thought you were my friend, You broke my heart so it's not for you to mend. I thought you were my friend, But I guess I was really wrong. I thought you were my friend, So I wrote you this song. I thought you were my friend, Then you broke my heart until it bled. I thought you were my friend, But now I know enough has been said.
