When I say That I am made of stardust I do not mean That I glow Or shimmer Or am something to be wished upon When I say That I am made of of stars I mean that I too Am always burning And that the brighter a star is, The faster it dies And some stars Are just waiting To become black holes And consume When I say That there are stars In my veins And galaxies At my fingertips, I do not mean That I glitter and Twinkle in the night sky I mean that even though I look Close enough to touch I am always light-years away And, even if you reach me, You will burn With just one graze of Your fingers
