Let’s all refrain too From stockpiling in the loo! And joining on any old queue! When sunrise is dawning whilst moaning and yawning - That we’re bored with ‘stir’ There’s no pub crawls any ‘mur’ That our trim, sphelt, thighs Are swollen to twice their usual size! (And wobbling ‘fore our eyes!) Let’s try NOT to die! By staying-in - ‘chez-nous’ It’s easier if you do And safer for others - Hey! Sisters and Brothers! - Let’s try not to sink! Keep your head! - It’s time to THINK! For we’re teetering on the brink! Go wash your hands (then wash your sink!) Let’s wallow in some common-sense - And courtesy Remember that your neighbour is your friend! Bury the hatchet, dears, somehow Cause we all need each other now! When it’s over we’ll go back to driving - each other round the bend! Let’s try NOT to die! - Poke the ‘Covid’ in the eye! Practice patience and stroll solo Drive your mouse - and NOT your Volvo! Let’s try NOT to die! Give up drink - (And DIY - !) For A&E is BURSTING! - And we need ALL nurses - NURSING! After 12 whole weeks In glorious seclusion You may come to the conclusion That you’re grateful you’re alive! After 12 whole weeks You’ll have mastered French and Latin And how to get the cat in In your ‘jamas! (- How bananas!) Let’s try NOT to die! I’d miss you if you went Go-on! - Live a life well spent (For Boris will pay your rent! Till these stormy clouds roll by!) So PLEASE - My aged lovelies! And YO! - You youthful darlings!
