Biography

I’m a Poet and Musician originally from Manchester but now solidly based in London after a long, yet artistically active detour, involving Sunderland, Liverpool, Birmingham, New Zealand, Australia and Peru while never really leaving Manchester behind – and why would I? The travels continue when they can and have included winning slams in Finland and singing my heart out in Berlin, but mostly take place on North London territory where I can be seen on the first Monday of every month co-hosting ‘Until The Light Goes Out’ with Irina Jauhianen. Poetry and Music with a feature of each and all the open-mic performers we can squeeze in. I’ve performed to a thousand and a few and I like both. I leave them with my first collection ‘Music under skin’ when they want it, or a pamphlet on writer’s block called…’Block’ when they’re strapped for cash. Recently I’ve found that Poets like my music and musicians like my poems – is this a good thing? Say hello when you see me or drop me a line online - Mike

New Colours Pull me from this sleeping body, this poor servant, this lazy vehicle. Fire me through the streets to rip through the night, I am dawn killing darkness I am blood, guts and light. I can do it, I can do it, I can do it. I am a rainbow in a jack in the box, music under skin, insanity in waiting. I am ready let’s begin.
