Biography
Born Bristol 1971 UK In 2015 I won the highly prestigious erbacce prize for poetry with a new collection Dystopia 38.10 due this December, in 2016 I will be reading at Poetry on the Lakes Festival in Italy and several U.K Literary Festivals. This year I have had over sixty acceptances in various U.S and U.K magazines and journals such as The Dawntreader, The Journal, Illumen, The Seventh Quarry, Carillon, Poetry Quartely, Roundyhouse, The Cobalt Review, The Delinquent, Apogee Magazine, Section 8,The Bitchin' Kitsch, Expound, Lunar Poetry Magazine, Yellow Chair Review, Dwang, Vagbonds, OF/With- Journal of immanent renditions, and many more. I'm also one of the editors of a new political poetry magazine 'The Angry Manifesto'. Dystopia 38.10 (erbacce-press) will be available from December 2015. WE THE RULED We the ruled - torso of downward blood pulse slowing our stretch in time thin skin that grows like epicormic buds lapping in raw licks of sea, plebeian to a gentleman’s chimes. We the ruled – an overfed vertex for a pendulum that takes chunks from our auditory cortex Eon of wilted dummy hair an overflowing kerf laid at severed trunks. We the ruled – the impregnated spider a fossil without tongues the flaccid and unknowing outsider a shell with no oxygen who can only pamper and devour our young.
