Just a Mum who has always liked writing poetry - some witty, some romantic, some sad - whatever I am feeling! I never really share, just to close friends really but they are encouraging me to share to a wider audience...so here I am!

Me or Tea Sitting in a silent room With no one to cause you ill The safety of being on your own The craving for being still But sometimes the silence can be loud When you need to hear a voice Just to say you are ok You’re making a good choice To say well done. You’ve done it great! Let me make you a cup of tea The simple things in life are loud Only in silence do you see It takes a special person To really understand When to break the silence And offer you his hand We all sometimes inhale the quiet To be who we need to be The perfect man will understand And know when I must be free…or offer me his tea
