It's Not You, It's Me

I feel a void that's always seem impossible to fill, I've looked elsewhere for fulfillment, but no external love, seem to placate my wounded heart, Hidden behind the warmth of a charismatic smile, and pouring out unconditional love, with an intention of making the world a better place for our hearts to love freely, through your eyes; I saw the reflection of my inner soul, through that fixed smile, fixed for me, to fix the deep inside of me, while you can barely cope without a fix, that quench of love, squeezed out of your dying heart, It escaped through the wound of doubt, I guess love didn't find a home in my heart, since my heart has long forgotten the feeling of true love; therefore it's not you, it's me who needs to love me unconditionally and nourish my heart with love, for it to embrace and appreciate, every small gesture of love; external love will always find a home in a nurtured heart filled with pure self love
