What we do

I see in the mirror a woman I see a body that has been much used I see hands with narrow fingers I see they are mottled and discoloured I see the flat feet, toes with bunions I see the legs bony and bent I see dark blue veins, pushing through the skin I see a head of hair, once thick now thin I see grey, when before blonde I see a forehead deeply furrowed I see they are the frown lines of many years I see the fading pink of her lips I see the mouth, laughter lines at sides I see deep into her eyes I see the pain they have felt I see the compassion, love and joy they have given I see the face pale, age old wrinkled I see the years of experience in each line I see a woman smiling I see she has lived, loved and enjoyed life She is happy .
