Highway of my dreams Familiar places pass me bye Life is a tall order We sometimes struggle to climb As I see her shadow at the window And fondly remember her smile, Passing me in the night Upon this country mile. Now my bones have grown weary From all the hard times of the past Seeking new direction In this world so matter of fact I always tried to expand my learning But never grew wise from mistakes I made, Life is one tough journey And to love I'm just a slave. The cold wind now pushes me forward To search for horizons new As the past serves as a reminder That I was never true to you As I yearn to feel the comfort The soothing beat of your heart, To hear your tender voice Promise me we shall never part
