Biography

What can be said about Paul? Award-Winner, Eco Warrior, Crusader for truth and justice... Well actually none of these things. He is though a Poet/Humorist/Singer-Songwriter who specialises in nonsense/Comic Verse/Songs for Children. He is also based in Howth, County Dublin, Ireland and has performed for many festivals including World Book Day, Childrens Book Festival, Poetry Now Festival, Roald Dahl day, Writers Week Listowel and a special performance of his Christmas poems for the patients at Temple Street Hospital. He has four collections available, details of which are on his website Although his Audiences have to attend due to it being part of their Curriculum, Paul has still received exceptionally excellent reviews. Raining in the Library How on Earth can this possibly be? It's raining in the Library. How can this be happening? Whoever heard of such a thing? It shouldn't rain when you're indoors, But in this Library it pours. Now all the books they will be wet And the readers will be so upset. Who would have thought that you would be needing An umbrella when you came in to do some reading? I don't know how this is, to tell you the truth, Maybe there's a hole in the roof. I really, really can't explain, Why in this Library it does rain. Maybe it's my imagination. Maybe that's the only explanation. But until I'm sure the rain has stopped. Under the table is the position I will adopt. The Poet and the Kite I have decided I would like to write, A poem that’s about a kite. About how it soars up in the Air And makes the people stand and stare At the majestic vision in the sky, But anyone who’s seen me try And fly a kite knows full well This is not an accurate story I tell. Because my kites they seldom soar They normally drag upon the floor. And no one stares at this display They normally look the other way. So I have decided that it is vital For me to change the original title. Which was “Majestic vision up above” What could I have been thinking of? A more accurate title would be, “Why won’t this kite co-operate with me?”
