zz -Sleep - zz You start in my eyes Then, you fade away anything past fifteen yards in sight Because, I don't need it. Soon, it's "open wide" Unleashing a sharp inhale Eagerly followed by ñawn - Open space Here, I want you to sit. Out go my arms Out go my legs Down, You slow my pulse And then disappear the high-end in my ears Because, you're low-end Because, you’re just as the season is ( 01/2017 ) Because, you’re like the degrees that bumble in my six by eight room No more fumes No more powder No more liquor that waves it's wand to lure you No. Today, you’ve come pure. Like the weight that’s perched above my eyes And my will that stands hesitant to greet you sober today... Why?

hello Ralfy! and welcome to WoL. So glad you liked my sample poem and very generous of you to say so. Your writing is intriguing and I look forward to reading more. I would suggest just post one or two poems a day (or less) rather than be tempted to swamp the site with a whole ton of work. It's just they tend to get gobbled up by the system and it's harder for people to notice them. Lots of excellent writers here on WoL and it's a great place to learn if you take the time to interact and read what's out there.
